    SS insignia set

    Hi all,

I found this set of SS metal insignia items. All items were on one place so I think all belonged to one soldier. Dou you have any idea what was the range of this soldier? According to the number of stars......

    Thanks for any opinion.

    Regards

    Pavel

      Hi Milan,

thank you for your reply. OK I thought there is too much pips for one soldier ( 6 large + 4 smaller size), so maybe 2 soldiers did hide the insignia together on one place......

The eagle is zinc with alu prongs marked ss 475/42
Skull is aluminium with tombak prongs marked M1/52

I will send more pictures after cleaning.

      Regards

      Pavel

        Hi,

here are pictures of the skull and eagle after cleaning.

The condition is pretty good considering that the items were under the groung for over 60 years...

        Regards

        Pavel

It would send serious shivers down my spine pulling these things out the ground with my own hands. I'm not quite sure how you guys manage to do it.
