    Another SS Armband

Picked up this armband with a few other original british items, and letters from a WREN home. But my knowledge of German items is fairly limited when it comes to authentication, to the point where i stopped collecting. Anyway, could you give your expert opinions on it please. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jon

Thanks for that guys, now for a picture of the RZM label. Which may throw you all, I didn't post this first as a few people have simply looked at this and said it's not real as it has the wrong code.
          Opinions please...........

I agree, 'F' code on an SS armband is too high.

                Armband

I agree - Maybe an "F" code on a fancy Political Leaders armband, but even then, I'm not sure. I'm not positive, but in terms of construction, I can't imagine the code letter being higher than a "C".

Is strange isn't it, now I have to decide whether to sell it or keep it.

I don't like the way the label is printed: the horizontal lines and the number is not seperatly printed on. Also the rounds around the RZM and SS.

                    The band itself looks good!

snorky, did this item come from an auction in norfolk?. i ask because it looks very much like one of two, that i saw myself a couple of weeks ago. they too had the `F` prefix. seems a coincidence if not.

It didn't, no. It was from a boot sale in Romford, Essex. Strange though, like I say it was with some original British stuff and some original para wings.

The armband itself looks fine but it should have a 'C' or 'D' tag.
