When it comes to SS i tend to believe this rather then a mint tunic.I like it a lot..although the boards appear to be Heer ones, or have the "black" part being eaten by moths ?

              Regards, Les.

SS boards have a black underside. It should have black with the red arty/panzer waffenfarbe. It could be period done to mix it up but, its not as if it makes a lot of difference, but a nice pair of slip-on`s would make this nice tunic even better.

Love the pointy collars, and Heer boards are somewhat common on SS officers, but most give in to pressure and replace them with SS boards. I have an LAH officer that went up through the ranks but it had Heer panzergrenadier boards ( no LAH cyphers), and I finally caved into the pressure and replaced them with SS infantry lieutanants boards ( still left cyphers off) after some very advanced SS collectors said "change them." Nice tunic...thanks for sharing.

                                Sweeeeeeet!!!!

Totally agree, it was not uncommon at all for SS to use Heer Boards, and even Heer Breast Eagles as sleeve eagles. There is a famous picture of either Max Wunche or PanzerMeyer wearing a Heer Eagle as an arm eagle on the tunic. You used what you could find.
