    Shoudelr lah

    Hello to all,
I am a new member of this forum and as my first post, I want to show you this fine model of LAH pre-war. The shoulder is a single piece and is very rare in German collections.
At the center of the shoulder there is a monogram with the initials LAH (Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler), the First Division of the SS.
All the shoulder of the LAH Division are hard to find, especially as this model made before start of World War II.
The strap is made in black cloth profiled by a small white cord. On the front of the shoulder there is a silver tress with the monogram in the center in gothic letters intertwined. In the back of the shoulder (behind the monogram) is the black cloth. In the back of passing the cloth is lightweight and machine-stitched along the edges. This lightweight cloh is made to the plot diagonal.

The two holes are small holes moths.

Are you just showing this off, or asking for opinions? I don't chime in with an opinion about authenticity if I'm not asked, so please make yourself clear... showing or asking?

                    Thank you.

I apologize, I know that the strap is original, but I also have the views of experts.
This strap is so long time in my box and now it's time to show it.
                      Many thanks, Kruger.

Kruger, why does this 'first pattern strap' have waffenfarbe branch piping?

                          lah

In my opinion is a good and original " war time mix".
An old model shoulder with waffenfarbe white after made.

All was possile in war time.

I think the board looks pretty good, darn nice of the moths to give us a look at the back of the embroidery. If it was fake there would be a pair...right? Seriously, I do think this has a very good chance of being legit.

Most likely the shoulder was a surplus in the first period, in fact it is an outdated model. It was possible that shoulder like this (with monogram) have been reassembled with waffenfarbe (order of 40's) and distributed the troops again. Later there was also the passing grade. These things often happened in war.
