Help with SS 1st pattern cammo smock

    Hello !

A lot of different opinions I heard about the cammo smock below. Basicaly sound as follows:

    1. It's good original (but re-washed and re-cleaned many times) smock.
    2. It's totaly wrong Czhech made copy of this smock.
    3. The cammo pattern is VERY strange for SS smocks.

Where is the truth ? Any comments & thoughts from the forum memebers would be appreciated !

    Best regards,
    Alexander

Looks like it has been soaked with bleaching or some sort of solvent.
I checked with photos in Camouflage Uniforms Of The Waffen-SS (Michael D. Beaver and J.F. Borsarello) and it looks ok.
How is the cloth in it? Early smocks had a thick and tight cloth.
The stormflap should be stiched on the autumn side. Looks like it is that on the photos above. Can you check that?

The cloth in it rough & waterproof. And there are no explanation from previous owner regarding soaking with bleanching.
