SS cap...help requested...

Hi Guys,

I am not a headgear collector but have been offered this item. These pictures are all I have at the moment. I know better photos would be helpful but none are available at this time.

What I am trying to determine is if there is any chance this is period authentic before I make a long drive to view it in hand. If there is an obvious red flag then I will let it pass.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Sure looks a lot like this one - I actually sold it myself to the studio that made this cover , in 1988 . They wanted an SS visor for really , really CHEAP - and that's what they got .. The book wasn't that expensive either .
