Notice also that the tailor's label also specifically states "civil uniforms"...

Not to comment one way or the other about this wrap (I am not qualified), but just to ask: Is it normal for the "take-up" ties to meet in the back of the tunic (as opposed to the "take-up" areas being adjacent to the interior pockets)?

I can tell you all from personal experience that he has a REAL rear Marks and Spencer coat hanger .
For our US members this is an old ladies clothing and grocery store that was once fashionable in the 1980s .
It has a nice food court and some pretty good ham .
In the frozen section you can get some pretty good fried chicken along with peas .
In the clothing dept they sell 3 pairs of knickers a pack as well as old ladies pantyhose .
Their wine selection could be better but not bad for the price .
Their plastic bags last pretty good and work well for bringing your lunch to work .

        I hope this helps .

          Cheeezzz,

You guys are a hard audience. Well, where to start, take up ties can meet in the back, but that is usually on HBT or denim wrappers...so it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

A zivilian tailor might have a hobby of making military uniforms on the side, you never know.

The eagle does resemble a Seidler (not sure on spelling) Johnpic or another eagle expert can tell you right off the top of their head. I'd have to go look up eagles and I don't have the time now.

Close-ups of the boards themselves, and the shoulder area inside the wrap would help. Cuff closure stitching, other stitching details would be helpful?

Could you show some of the other uniforms you are going to sell?

          Richard

I think Kammo Man has shed the most light on this "Wrap".

Agree with you guys, but what if he is a genuine collector ? its always 50-50 but i guess most of us here didn't started their "career" with 0 post and strait to E-stand. Something here stinks for me to.....

Now now, that's no way to welcome a new member. This person is a good friend of mine and lives quite close to me, he is trustworthy and has his own business and a fantastic collection which he is now disposing of.
I suggested to him that it would be good for him to join this forum as the members have always been friendly and helpful, now whether the items are good or bad please don't let me down.
The tunic in question was bought in Jun 2007 from Mr Anthony Hedges, it was not shown on the WA site but offered for sale after the purchase of a Panzer headphones and throat mic on the site.
It is only fair to discus these items as they are not cheap but please do so in a friendly manner, not everyone who starts selling as soon as they join is fraudulent.

                        Regards

FWIW, I feel for your friend. He's finding out that the pride of his collection may not be the real deal and he's been labeled a crook as well. Truly adding insult to injury!

What I don't understand is you guys didn't do your homework and notice that a stug wrapper has red waffenfarbe, not Pink like this thing has. According to my Osprey book stug is red not pink

Mind you we do live and learn and as we go about our daily business getting hit is a collectors major preocupation.

Please remove this item from sale as it is obviously not real, £3800 for an SS Stug Wrap come on the real ones will cost you half a house in Rhonnda for which you would be on
