    allach cased plaque

according to german sources, not one of the over 200 motorcyclists in the 1938 brandenburg gelaendefahrt finished within the prescribed time. the riders were underway for 16 hours without interruption, had nothing to eat, and became exhausted. the results were two dead and 20 injured. complaints were registered claiming that the unreasonable demands caused destruction of equipment and endangered the racers. quite a race.

        OK,
you are becoming my favorite poster ,
You have a beautiful item to show out of the blue, and then you also have a tidbit of historical background to go with it that is as enlightening as it is droll.

Interesting sparseness of the motifs; runes and leaves placement that I have not noticed in other SS Kunst

          Nice

Now that is a nice piece. I like. And, Fay, I'm hurt that I am not your favorite Poster. Where shall I send the bill for my Therapy?

haha man that bites, what a race, oh geez they are killing their own soldiers before the war--hey didn't the Spartans like to do that?... too sad, anyway that is a great piece, I just love those cased allach pieces, so much variety and you never see the stuff,
