A birthday gift from RFSS Himmler to SS OGF Fritz Weitzel. Most of the gilt finish is gone from this nicely engraved Walther PPK.

Your photo collection is just out of this world, in my personal opinion you could not have a more direct link to these past events than the oportunity and honor to speak and recolect personaly the historical facts from the men who where part of this historical events.

Again for me each and everyone of your dedicate photos and the reason behind what motivate that gesture from the soldier to you in the first place,to record their history FROM their perspective and experiences for posterity worth more than any collection of uniforms,medals or any item of militaria.

Thanks for sharring with us this amazing photographic tribute to these men, who sadly most of them are no longer with us.
