        thread

After reviewing this thread I've come to the conclusion that there are a few individuals who are hoarding it all. Contrary to my earlier belief, this stuff must not be that rare.

But in all seriousness, very nice items that people have been sharing here...quite impressive.

Here are two new favorites. I bought them last year, but they had to sit in storeage until I could drive and pick them up. They are behind glass and I was concerned about shipping them.

They are the commanders SS-Totenkopfverband Standarte 4 command flags for Ostmark (Mauthausen). This unit was used to form SS-Heimwehr-Danzig.

                Those are great flags.

You need to have the glass changed out for UV treated Plexiglass so you don't have to worry about breakage.

I cannot understand why anyone with any sense or logic still has such valuable items framed in glass these days.

Agreed.. the extra cost of the UV perspex is well worth it.

Perspex or plexiglass is the only way to go. I use it in most of my conservation work. Especially with items or pictures larger than 16 X 20 inch display. May cost a bit more but a lot safer and reduces weight of glass..

The glass is UV resistant. I have not used the plastic materials, but will look into them.

Do you know, if Franz Grohmann received the Totenkopf Ring?
