Guys,
I posted this in the SS category but I wanted to see if I could get any opinions here? Has anybody seen this uniform before? If so where? Here is what I posted in the other section. Does anybody know if this unit wore these uniforms?
"Here is a tough one. I know uniforms are difficult to authenticate by photos but here ya go. I have had this uniform offered to me along with a Fez, SS pith helmet, and army pith. I know the story does not really mean much but this is what has been told to me. His father was in the Italian army in WWII and his father got these items during his service or after the war. He does not know exactly how his father came upon these. But My biggest concern is the uniform. Let me know what your opinions are on this tunic.
All insignia have approximately the same wear as the tunic. I have my concerns about it (as with anything SS). But I want to know what the collective group thinks. Let me know if you would like to see any additrional photos."
Ok, there was a correction to the original story which was not a devious attempt by the seller just a misunderstanding on my part. The tunic is the tunic that was mentioned in NickG's post, and did not come from the original vet.
