    Some of my posters!

    Here are some of my original poster`s from ww2. Several are SS poster`s. My posters are mainly made by Harald Damsleth.

            Nice collection Ruggeri.

            Those Damsleth posters must get sold behind the scenes between you collectors in Denmark/Norway/Sweden etc - I never see them anywhere else.

            But at least you guys have them to preserve. It would be worse if they were all destroyed so I'm not too envious.

                      Whoa there Vince. Making a blanket statement like that can be very dangerous and misleading to other collectors.

                      There is at least one German SS poster I believe has been very well faked but I cannot yet prove it. A long time poster conservator brought it to my attention and they examined the printing style under magnification. They believe that particular type of printing is post war but I am not yet versed in that area of poster authentication. This poster has a few other "odd" attributes as well.

                      Personally I look at everything as fake - especially SS items - until I can prove it otherwise.

                          Tony i was stating that only SS (propaganda) documents (in color) are usually not faked : leaflets, booklets, flyers. At least for now we never encountered one (with the exception of reprinted SS-Leitheften in german or english, which are clearly identified as copies).
                          I clearly included SS posters (and many french SS documents) in the category "well faked".
                          Sorry if i was badly understood

                          This is why we are mainly focussing on booklets/leaflets/flyers. Posters are too expensive, and there are too many fakes on the market...

                          But i think it may be a good way to introduce the other SS propaganda documents into that thread ? I'm speaking of course of booklets/flyers/leaflets with great artwork.
                          We all know the "Dich Ruft Die SS" booklet, but there are a lot of german/foreign items with great design to share.

                          Tony, if you are ok, Loïc and I can share a few dozen of (Waffen-)SS propaganda booklets/leaflets/flyers for the masses. I think this may be better than to do a new thread ?

                          PS : Aaaaah Damsleth. He did a hell of amazing artworks, including some for various propaganda booklets/flyers.
                          Unfortunately local collectors are usually ready to pay a lot (i mean a lot...) for booklets and posters done by Damsleth... More than 300 Euros each for a single booklet is quite a lot.

                              Hi,

                              no problem Tony, i know that SS posters are really touchy and expensive, fortunately propaganda documents are less faked...

                              In an another hand, i will be interested by people who purchased by mistake fakes (i'm interested by buying them), to make studies of them and provide tutorals "how to spot the fakes".

                              Loïc and I are working on fake SS postcard (i need to buy a fake one as i have the real one), and fake SS sport certificates.

                              I will post some artworks this week-end too.
