No, have a better look and you will find it.

            Hi,

the owner of the site is on the WAF (chrisutter)
            > check the Otto Schwab's tunic topic

            About the SS documents :
            - the "Dich Ruft Die SS" Douai flyer is OK
            - the Légion Wallonie looks ok
            - the "Gerade Du !" looks ok (but Tony is more a specialist on this one)
            - i can't say anything about the Totenkopfring letter
            - the Mjölnir poster looks very nice (with local address !)

            See You

If your referring to the Mjolnir poster that sold then yes I think its a good one.

And there are not that many around.... The sh!t copies yes, but not the good ones.

Thanks for the info on who's site it is Vince...

I have not seen that Wallonie poster before... The photographic collage posters dont really appeal to me in the same way otherwise I would snap it up.

                    Hi,

yes TK, this is always a possibility that "real" Mjölnir posters are infact great repros... as we are focussing on the strange "fake" ones, we may be tricked by the so-called" real ones...

So people don't have to go searching for it.......

Its similar to the one that sold on Tarnmilitaria in December last year....although better condition...

                      A nice one...!!!

Compare with mine which has provenance going back to when the
US war correspondant brought it back from the ETO in 1946

very interesting to see that this poster was used for 3 single recruitment sessions on "April 28, May 8 and 15".

Now we need the find the year... We must check some Strassburger newspapers for that.

A case of recruitment efforts going into overdrive in preparation for expected losses in Operation Barbarossa... which began June 22nd.

Some more pics of the poster that sold...

This last photo is interesting.....It shows the printing under the stuck on recruitment office details...

It seems to match up with the text on the bottom of mine -------"Ergänzungsamt der Waffen-SS"-------- SS-Recruitment Department

                              Hi,

Max, are you sure it may be as earlier as 1941 ?

Your right.....I just saw the first set of dates you put down....I jumped to conclusions there as there is clearly no year listed on the poster........ Forget what I said regarding Barbarossa....

Given that it is a recruitment office in Alsace...... Can we look at when the first round of Alsatian recruits were being recruited and then go from there.
