      Hi,

      nice postcard Dedman !

I never saw that design on postcard until now, it looks ok to me too.
This drawing is really amazing, i like the white/yellow text addition "Dich Ruft Die Waffen-SS" too. I wonder if it was done in other language too ?

      See You

Thank you for yor comment! I am not expert in this area, but think that these postcards are not so easy to find...

Yes they are quite rare. There is one for sale on a dealers website at the moment. In slightly better condition than your one. It has the "Sudwest Stuttgart" recruiting address on the back.

As this poster was done in German and French it is possible there was a French postcard done as well.

                  Harm

                  A video on my book
                  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbkxt...feature=relmfu
the song in the video is "Wenn alle untreu werden" written by
Max von Schenkendorf, 1814. It become the SS anthem.
                  text here from
                  http://ingeb.org/Lieder/wennallu.html

                  Wenn alle untreu werden

                    Hi Harm,

The artist is actually the same Kriegsberichter as the magazine / newspaper cover I posted a while back... SS-PK Spahn. I dont have any other information on him unfortunately.
