    Hi Guys,

    Thought I would post this one blown up a bit more. Looks like the soldier pictured on the front of the 'Dat's 'N Leven' SS recruitment pamphlet may also have been a poster. Have any of you guys seen it in large size like that?

      It is most definitely the SS Regiment Westland Untersturmführer from the pamphlet / poster.

      I have never seen an enlarged poster image of him like that shown in the recruitment office window.

        This picture is a wellknow pic of the Nebenstelle at De Dam in Amsterdam. I never seen the poster in real live, and think it is never been published in big numbers but only for the Ersatzstelle...

          Hi Patrick!

          Thanks for the above. I had seen the photo many times, just not blown up large like the one below, so I had not seen that the soldier in the poster was the same photo used in the Dat's 'N Leven recruitment pamphlet. Very neat!

                This would not be the first time that a particular picture/drawing used for postcards or flyers may be used as posters in a few unique or test prints.
                We have the same for the famous picture taken in Paris, with posters that were not known to be used...

                          Hi,

                          this MIA 1945 "famous" soldier is mainly used on the French booklet "Unités Françaises de la Waffen-SS" published in 1943. To date the blank red stripe poster is still unconfirmed as being used during the last months of the war in Europe.

                          Patrick, your "Brigade d'assaut" poster is unfortunately fake... No parisian version existed, only a bigger Nancy version is confirmed as original. It is badly printed, it is smaller than the original, and it is glowing on UV light as i posted previously in this topic.

                          The picture of SS attacking soldiers are from the Legion Flandern in April 1942, Leningrad front as previously stated here somewhere, courtesy of Luc.
