Different to judge, but imho has nothing to do with Ss. ItĀ“s just another Norge ring. Each branch could buy it in norway, during the campaign there. I have a few of them. Also, with a ship, name engraved, a sitting lion, a lw eagle. There are also Norrge rings with the Wh eagle and the SS runes.

IMO it has nothing to do with the SS, just a ring, maybe from the war time period, I cannot say for sure, maybe Gaspare knows more exactly?

In all fairness I must say that the seller only describe this as a”German ring”, not a SS ring. And also state that it is from the estate of a German.

My outset where, that this was at best a private ring, maybe bought as a souvenir, and it seems that this is the case.

But thanks for your input <O</O

There were many variations of Norge rings.. Most dated on the ring. Most have good provenances/documented and they are accepted by ring collectors.
The last 5 or so years more and more 'Norge' rings have appeared. Some good, some fantasy.
This ring is hard to say. No markings [Norwegian silver usually was marked], no provenance, not the greatest of detail.
This could be a tourist ring from 10 years back!

                      Hi.

This type of ring is from the war of before. Looks like silvered zink and if so most likely produced under the war.
Not military made but could have been worn by a German soldier.
You find a lot of different models with the wikingship and NORGE.
                      Sometimes with NORWEGEN and 1940.

                        Hi

Thanks for your inputs and information. My knowledge about rings, and especially from Norway are none, - (I donĀ“t even wear a wedding ring, my wife does though, when she is not at work) so I really appreciates all the knowledge on this you will/can share.
