This is a general call for information regarding the whereabouts of Standartenführer Rudolf Schicketanz's awards, uniforms, etc. I am especially interested in his TKHR, largely because it may be the only award with his name on it.
Funnily enough, a German friend of mine recently translated my SSTKR "Fiala" ring info, and got interested in his own family tree. Turns out that Rudolf Schicketanz is his grandfather, and was a Reichstag member, and came close to being a Gauleiter of the Sudentenland, according to his information, but was past over. He was hung by the Czechs in !945.
Any information would be much appreciated. My friend has no interest in acquiring his grandfather's awards, etc. , but is curious where it all ended up.
