                Tab

Saying that an item is a reproduction, ESPECIALLY when forum experts think it's original, is not helpful unless you state the reasons for your assessment. I see nothing wrong with the tab either.

Do you realy think that such collar tabs are made between 1940-1945???
This collar tabs are only good for people who believe the nonsense about the history described from "experts" in their books but nobody can realy explain why this collar tabs are good and what I see is a quality that we can,t found in the hole German Army. But I know that you can sell every time such junky collar tabs so long people believe this nonsense but that will not say that these collar tabs are made in WOII.

I guess we have all been fooled for decades into believing these tabs to be original by a vast conspiracy of hundreds of American WWII veterans across the US who independently claimed to have brought them back directly from the war.

So that we can be properly enlightened, perhaps you could show us what a correct Handschar tab should look like and contrast this example with the sort of quality you rightly expect from an original foreign volunteer tab.

That is a statement you have to back up! I would prefer though, that you study SS insignias as well. For a long time! You need to learn mate!
This collar tab is clearly shown in many period pics and is on the found SS map of volunteer tabs of Europe.
There are TONS of direct US vet finds with this kind of insignia who was at Dachau in 1945. Has been found in unopened vet bags!
                        Care to explain these facts?

It is a nice original tab, no questions!

I will use only my brain and my eyes and what I see is reproduction and not brought back after the war through American veterans but Items wich made for the credulous collectors, but you may think want you want, I will only help collectors to collecting realy original Items and not doubtfull material!!!!!!!!

Well no one could agrue with such a well reasoned position based on solid fact and true expertise in this field. Maybe you should write a book.

Ron, seriously, from what facts do you base this judgement?
Care to explain? Why is this not an original? Any examples to show or any well funded explainaitions?

Would you say a tab in this pattern never did exist?

                              Cheers and welcome BTW,
                              Felix
