Late war NCO tabs

Hi,

I wanted to show you these late war, ugly duckling, NCO tabs. The runic tab has mended buckram and the bullion hand embroidered runes are angled a bit of. Nice, tight embroidery though.

Rune

I am just not happy with that Rune Shape. Yes embroidery looks great, but I am not getting a good vibe. What is your source for these Tabs?

They are certainly well made, but I also do not like the rune shape (the angles of the runes themselves). I would expect to see "non-standard" rune shapes and alignments in very early tabs, but not on late war tabs.

Are we really sure that they are late war tabs?

They came in a batch of -mostly- late war insignia. Here is a pic. About 4 more tabs were of the type like bottom left. Therefore I though these would be late war as well.

Here is an RZM-tagged rune tab with again weird looking runes. Although I agree they don't look appealing to general standards, I do have confidence in these as I know the provenance.
