    SS bevo trop scull help

    Dear friends,
asking you for your help:1:is this scull OK?
2:is it for M 43 field cap or for side cap or for both?
3: is it true some SS soldiers removed their eagle from trop field caps so only the scull remained ? The reason was...?

Thank you very much for your opinions indeed!!

Yes, is original. The use of BeVo tropical skull is only in the tropical M41 SS caps and in the M43 camo cap. Another used...

                    Correct.

Insignia were only used on camo caps for a very brief period, during which those special green and brown machine-woven insignia were used, not tropical. Tropical insignia on camo (or field gray) caps and uniforms are incorrect and almost certainly post-war applied. Those who refer to tropical insignia as "camo" are usually sellers who are trying to increase their appeal to novice collectors.

You are absolutely right. I am confused in terms of the use in camo cap's.
