    Thank you

In my opinion, is original. The type of paper used at the back and fading, it was observed previously with other originals by me.

Its nicely made but I would not trust it based on the wing embroidery.

IMO this is an original piece. These eagles are known as 'Flemish' or 'Belgian made' Officer bullion eagles. So, they aren't German RZM.
I have several of these. One comes out of a lot of different Belgian made SS insignia (cufftitles, collar tabs, etc...)

An other ones originates out of a Konvolut of an SS-Hauptsturmführer of the 'Hitlerjugend'

Here and old topic on these insignia:

It may be its nicely mad ,but I wouldnt buy it bassed on the wing structure, the wings are made just like the fake versions of this eagle are made.

Originals had each individual feather embroidered, this one has them done as a whole a characteristic of fakes.

The style is not foreign it was an early style used by many officers. Here is a Belgian made example of a sleeve eagle used by many SS officer during the war that can be seen in period pictures in use.

                    Hi John,

Is this how these wings look better to you?

On the issue what one calls 'belgian made eagles'. Over here - in Flanders, Belgium - the eagle that started this topic is the type that collectors refer to as 'Belgian made' though.

                    Kind regards,
                    Gerd V

Those appear to be done seperate..if the top one is made that way I could accept it. But Im still very cautious about this style since quite a few fakes were done back in the 60s and 70s of it. I had one and the white threads on the back glowed.
