SS Netherland specialist wanted!

Hi all,
I want to introduce myself. I am new at this platform, and Iam very glad to have found such a nice place to be, and to get/share so much informations about our hobby, collecting militaria. I am a collector of headgear of German WW2, (damned nazi ****, as it is called here in Germany ...). That`s the reason why I have posted my first question here. I have a officer W-SS Infantry Visored Cap with a strange stamp, and I am not sure about the authenticity of that piece: It consist of :
right side : W -SS / K 1942 58
left side: SS-Schule Avegoor
Ellekom / Arnheim

The piece looks like a private issue, Insignia seems ok for me. Unfortunately I have no Digicam at the moment. I have ordered one last week on ebay, and will soon be able to provide you with photos.

Maybe here is one expert for volountary Netherlands SS, and provide me with some information, if there ever was a school like this!

If this visor cap is a good one, then you have an extremely rare piece in your possession. I have info about this SS-Schule. Send me a PM and I will tell you more about it. I would gladly like to see some pictures of it in the future!

Many Thanks to Adrian and Cees for your fast replys,
I am no expert as many are here, so I can`t say 100% that this one is an original piece. Like I said Insignia looks good to me. I got it some years ago from a part cancellation of a bigger collection from a Netherland collector. He had a little museum at the German Netherland border and seemed to be a repactable collector.
As I said I will be able to show some pics, as soon I got my digicam. I think this will take to the start of next week.
I am all on edge on your opinons. Hope it want destroy my hopes this is a real one ...

hi all,

I have sent some photos to Adrian as he offered me to publish them here.
Unfortunately the camera I ordered is not such a good quality thing I thought, so the photos that are taken close up are not as sharp as they should be, but I hope it`s enough to recognize something.

Origin of that cap is a cancelation of a small military museum in Netherland from a netherland collector some years ago. Should have been around 1994-1995? Insignia looks good to me, and is marked with RZM M1/52 (both skull and eagle). I think it`s a private Issue, with a strange (inknown to me) maker mark onto the interior. But all regulations are fullfilled (so far I can see).The sweat band is stamped outside with DRGM 1419757. Inside the sweatband there are following stamps: left side SS- Schule Avegoor Ellekom/Arnheim, on the right side you can find W - SS / K 1942 58 .The condition is good, I think this cap was only sometimes worn.

So it`s on you guys, looking for your expertice opinions!

I 'll stick my neck out 1st and have a stab ,i'm no expert and if my comments are wrong please correct me.
imo the cap is wrong, rippled velvet cap band,has it been added.
m1/52 insignia both reprode ,
any one can stamp a sweatband.
only my opinions. .
