Came from Max Hansen in the 50s, but was not his uniform

Hi there,

Im no great expert nor an SS collector, but I dont really like that visor cap, and I personally think its standard Heer field tunic converted to SS by changing the collar and maybe the SS tabs are fakes, because they are a bit sloppy. I would keep away unless there is great solid evidence not stories.
No hard feeling mate.

It might not be in a text book but it was in a collection of a ex HJ member and was given as a present to him by his Uncle Max Hansen!!

Not everything painted as fakes are....

Its in a collection that is directly linked to the Vets and it has been seen by many that said thumbs up...

Can you tell us all the "storie" ? because im not a beliver. If you do a search on legit SS stuff you see why everyone except you says no. The under hood shot of the visor is total bad.

Sorry Counselor, there is no period photographic evedence to back up all that "Fantasy" insignia. If you like it, keep it. I have spent the better part of my Life studying SS Fotos and Insignia and that Tunic is BAD !

This tunic ect is not debatable for me

but please ... i am very interested to hear clearly what you think is wrong with it and what you really think it is?

Your photos aren't the problem. Rather, it is the insignia - laughable reproductions. And then there's that cap.

I will try and get more close up pics but may take a while as the owner lives an hour up the road

Im sure he will be devestated if it is fake

Chris, you are probably a nice Guy and nobody here is enjoying saying these things. I am very sorry your Tunic is bad. You might have been better off living in your own version of reality as oppossed to putting that Tunic on a Public Forum, my hindsight is always 20/20.

Now if you want to convince me it is real find a period picture of anyone wearing that style of cufftitle or those collar tabs. I am not going to mention that Eagle and Hat. We can go there when you prove the first two.
