Im no big expert, but just would like to mention that the sweat diamond appears for be plastic...well atleast on my screen.

Actually, I am the owner of this private purchase Waffen SS visor, which was purchased by me lately. A fellow collector asked me if he was allowed to post images of the visor on this forum and I agreed.

Now that the visor is discussed and the feedback, given so far, is not positive, I'd like to know for what reasons this would be a re-worked cap. Thanks for the input.

I cannot comment on the reworked part, but the hat overall does not look close to what you would expect from a real waffen ss officers hat. I do not care for the appearance of the grey sweatband and underside of the visor. Also, private makers are always suspect. I am not convinced that the insignia is original and the interior lining seems artificially aged as well, IMO.

The underside of the visor looks artificially aged to me. SweatShield does appear to be plastic.

But if you like it, then that's all that maters.
