I think whatever your specialist collecting area is you need to stick to it ... and definately not venture into SS insignia. This is a very obvious fake.

No need for the cynicism (Ha !! that coming from me of all people !!) when someone is clearly only asking others with more experience then they have in a certain field, for their educated opinion(s).

One day you might have to rely on them for their opinion(s) in regards to their chosen field of collecting....

@Ian: of course my specialist collecting area is not ss insignia. That´s the reason i asked for opinions - "i like what i see so far" is my own opinion and not more. This thread saved me money and i´m happy -> that´s all folks

@ Denis S -> yes it is. The pics inside are good and that´s the reason i thought the eagle is ok too.

No i don´t have. The Album + eagle was offered to me by mail. So i can´t tell you the inches.

Imo the eagle if it is the normal size used on peaked caps would be a fake, the head and neck do not look correct. However larger size ss eagles are known to have been used on ss photo albums ,ive never seen one myself but often wondered what they would look like .
