    Another SS helmet cover

    Hello Guys,

I found this helmet cover on a flea-market, the guy
said it came from his uncle who served with the
    Flemish waffen SS.

    The hooks are missing..

The zelt material looks original to me..

Does this one have a chance of being original?

Isn't there a chance that this one is made on the field?
I you want some pictures of the stitching or so, let me know!

The cover and stitching don't light up under a UV light

This helmet cover was already discused on another forum:
        http://www.lowlandsmilitaria.be/foru...ead.php?t=3765

Conclusion, post war made cover (what Felix already said) and a fake story!

The story that went with the cover on the other forum (I don't want you all to miss the fun):
My great uncle served with the Langemark, he let my great aunt make this with the stitching machine from an original Zeltbahn.
Too bad that guy found a buyer. Hope you didn't lose too much money.

Hasn't anyone noticed that the fabric is original,
only original SS fabric has the white borders
around some of the camouflage spots.

            The Fabric is original IMO
