    SS Portrait

I could not keep this away from the other Waffen-SS collectors!

This is (IMO) one of the most beautiful Waffen-SS portraits which is around! I've bought the photo and it arrived so I made some beautiful scans of the photo. Who the person on the photo is, I do not have a slight idea, I only know he is "Gefallen in Schuldt", which is written on the back.

He is wearing a Winterschlacht im Osten 41/42 ribbon behind his Eisernes Kreuz II. Klas. He also is wearing the 4 Jahr im Treue Dienst in die SS , Die Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 13. Marz 1938 and the Die Medaille zur Erinnering an den 1 Oktober 1939 mit Prague Bar.

On his chest he is wearing the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen, Eisernes Kreuz I. Klas and the DRL Sportsabzeichen (?).

    PS
If anyone can help to identify the person (which could be impossible), contact me, I would appreciate it very much.

Looks like an officer's bullion sleeve eagle too.

Wow! Very attractive couple! I'm floored by his Bluse. The long pointed collar, the deep scallops on his pocket flaps and the high quality insignia coupled with his rank indicate he was a man of style. His awards also indicate he knew a thing or two about combat. Too bad he did not make it out alive.

Great picture - congrats ! It also shows that wearing a WH-style CHINSTRAP may be caused by a sense of style / standing out from the crowd - not plain shortage of correct ones . This guy seems to have all he wants ..

Many thanks, guys. Thanks for telling me that much information I didn't know all these things. There is no date on the photo, so it makes it only harder. Also thanks for the comments to the girl and the soldier's uniform.

Obviously, a tailor-made blouse in officers pattern, from here it looks like it even has french cuffs.

Very nice picture, thank you for sharing

Can you post a close-up image of the cuff and the cufftitle?
