Stolen TK tab & Edelweiss at the SOS

    Hi All,

My buddy Doug had this TK tab stolen off our table during set up at the SOS on Thursday morning so it was another dealer or table helper. It is a Dachau made TK tab which is very distinctive and an ss edelweiss patch. Here are some pics of the TK tab. I will offer a $100 reward for its return no questions asked.

If any one sees it for sale or is offered it please let me know,

I think it is safe to assume that the new "owner" will likely try to spiff it up a bit, not only to make it look better, but to alter its distictiveness.
Should still be identifiable though, no matter what they do.
Might do well to check listings for these on ebay/craiglist the next couple weeks.
Key words: elite tab Totenkopf tab German tab

Will probably avoid Nazi/SS if they are familiar with ebay at all

            Stolen Tab

            Hey

Just got back to Atlanta from the SOS and I can assure you scoward the hall for two days looking for TK scull tabs.......touched everyone that was early, but i did not see this one as one could not forget the back of the tab. So in other words, the $(%*$*#
that stole the tab did not place it in his booth and try to sell it.

My buddy who sets up there also had something stolen.

Sorry to here what happened with stealing. I hope the items are found.

A thief is such a total social pig, harming others and tainting collecting in general. Such people should be banned for life from everywhere, after being beaten.

I do not know how people can live with themselves when they steal like this. Completely unacceptable. I hope you get the tab back and will be watchful for it to turn up.

Ebay stopped letting (REAL) ss items, especially TK, be on their trash site a few years ago. They do allow any skin head junk, but authentic historical NO!
Ebay announced that they had a meeting with reps from the Holocost Museum who didn't want Americans offereing real items. Ironic, since our fathers, grandfathers, fought and defeated the persecuers. Now the same people we saved, say what historical catpured artifact we can trade or offer in America, and the Ebay morons go for it.

I'm not sure if thats the case.
People try to sell SS stuff there all over the place, described both as original and repro.
Like this joker http://tinyurl.com/chf9dg who has been pawning his fake SS stuff, and other sundry repros, as real for years.
Ebay will pull anything with SS runes visible, whether its claimed fake or good.
They will also pull most anything even described as SS, hence the popularity of "elite" in place of SS

I think someone could easily get away with selling the item in question on ebay. No runes, as long as he refrained from mentioning SS in the title or description, there wouldn't be a problem.

                          theft probablitiies

Prior to my retirement, I had about 8 corporate moves in my career. Each and every time we moved I hired a reputable moving company affiliated with only the top three companies in size. Every move had a rather large theft of some of my goods. Every single one. These days I would video tape the items in the house the day of the move and have the mover, given a copy, agree to that is what they packed.

I had some really good stuff simply vanish like Sthil Chainsaws, large furniture pieces and a very valuable old rocking chair.

                            Damn thieves, I hate em.
Not many life forms lower down the food chain.
I used to thieve, when I was a kid. I grew up, and promptly stopped.
I have not taken anything that was not mine since I was 16 or so.

I caught someone breaking in my garage last summer, and I got alot of goodies out there.
                            It was about 2 am.
It was at night, and I could see the flashlight inside through the garage window.
Took a 9mm rifle and my 2 100 lb German sheps out there, and he must have heard us coming because he came out, but my dogs charged and the only place he had to go was back in the garage, he would have never made it to the fence much less over it, not even close.
He jumped on a tool shelf to try to avoid getting mangled, and my dogs had him pinned there.
I flipped on the light and knew right away I was going to give the kid a break, as I saw myself standing up there when I was that age.
Before I saw him I wasn't sure what I was going to do, in fact I was snugged next to a mini fridge by the door and light switch and ready to fire as soon as the lights came on, not knowing if he might have been armed himself.
I took my finger off the trigger, and pointed the gun right at him for dramatic effect, while my dogs were trying to claw their way to him, they were just going emo. The kid **** himself and started going into hysterics, so I called my dogs off, unloaded the gun and put it down and had a little talk with him.

No need to recount that talk, suffice it to say I think he learned a lesson.

A kid like that I'll give a chance, if it was a man I damn well might have shot him, I'd at the least would have let my dogs have a little fun.
