What a superb NS police collection. If I dident sold my Bli politi NS poster I would have offered it to your collection. It would have fit perfect.

As I have told you many times before Marius, your taste of displaying your items is just excellent! Also nice that you spend time and effort to preserve the history behind your items.

              Have a nice weekend mate.

Thank you for your friendly comments and good feedback guys. I am very happy to finally have one of these rare badges, and I hope more of them will turn up in our collections in time to come. For sure there are more of them out there, just waiting to end up in caring collections

With help from my good friend and fellow forum member Øyvind, I now have this very interesting copy of a picture from his collection. Here you can see some guys from Den Norske Legion (DNL). The picture is taken in their barrack in Fallingbostel on Christmas Eve 1941 (shortly before they went of to Leningrad). To the left you can see SS-Rottenführer Leif Sylvan Knutsen. On his right ring finger is the very same totenkopf-ring as I now have in my collection.

Details, it’s all about the details

Thank you. This is the first time I have seen a complete NS police uniform. What a wonderful treat.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Even though there were a lot of these NS police uniforms in use, very few sets survived. This photo must be from somewhere between 1943-45. It’s taken just outside Oslo Central Station. As you can see the policemen have Krag rifles and Krag magazine pouches.

Thank you, Thorsten. It is fascinating with a hobby where you preserve history and every day is a search for those small missing links in your collection. And it’s so much more fun when you have soul mates to share this hobby (or should I say `lifestyle`) with
