    RZM Tag

Hi Pimpf, I'd be a little concerned that the cuff title has a 1935 RZM tag on it and theRegiment was not given their honor title until Sept 1938.
Also, just my own preference, I stay away from 6 strand titles even though they're some good one's out there. Sonny

Hi Sonny ! Take a look at the "DF" cuff title in Angolia book (page 149). There is absolutely the same tag St 21/35.

        Hi pimpf;

Is there anyway you can sharpen up the pix by focusing it and increasing pixelation to show details of the band, lettering and tag?
        Best regards,

        Tony

            Rzm Tag

Hi Pimpf, I see that, and I wish I had an answer for you. Maybe the manufacturer had a large group of leftover blank bands that were made in 1935 ergo the 38/35 tag.
My concern would be the St 21/35 tag, which as I understand, is for the company that did the actual embroidering.
I'm sorry I can't help you with this, maybe another member could help more, Sonny

I believe that when a tag is used with an St prefix, it is indicative that the manufacturer created the item from start to finish which includes making the base band and also the embroidery of the name.
              Best regards,

              Tony

The embroidery is certainly superb quality for a repro at least from what can be seen.An officers version to compare.

                    Six Strand

Here is a 6 strand DF that I believe is period, cut down and removed from a tunic, Gary what do you think?

                        Hi Pimpf,

Just a question but are you sure this is a 6 strand band, I own 4 very salty bands and on 2 of them the aluminium strands are hard packed together, you have to look very closely to see that they are seven strand versions. By the way I think the embroidery is excellent. It would fool me if this was seven strands.

                        Cheers

                        Mark

                          Hi Mark !

Yes, I am sure that there are 6 threads. I counted them.

                          Cheers,
                          Pimpf

                            Der Fuhrer Cufftitle

IMO, I feel that you might be leaving yourself wide open, as I believe that these 6 band cufftitles came from a source way back from a guy in Austria. If my memory serves me well he had a red catalogue and from wot I can remember they were spot on too. Now if you can imagine 30 odd years of dust and dirt later ..... !!! I rest my case David

The Embroidery is very good but after Gary posted his you can see its way too thick.
