    W SS PZ arty LSSAH Grouping

    Hi

    I never really luck into w ss but got lucky today, unfortunately the sun is gone so I cant foto the soldbuch entries..really lucked out on this one. The big stack of papers is him going to court for being w ss and some american papers dealing with it also, I have to go through them all and translate.

            About the baby I understand clearly: at the moment my 15 months daughter is playing close to me with a musical snail

                iam always screwing your name up everytime we meet online, please forgive me, but my little one is driving me around the bend,,ive been with him all day and he keeps trying to go through all my militaria items and tries to destroy them etc

                the paper work iam posting seems to be the guy trying to avois internment.

                              Looks like a very nice grouping, Dion.


                              Looking forward to seeing scans of the rest of the Soldbuch. I have a SS-Soldbuch to a Oberscharführer who served as a Hummel crew member with the exact same unit, alongside 'your' guy in the II.Battalion before its restructure (when the II.Bn was the self-propelled Battalion).

                              When the Regiment (or what was left of it, anyway) was pulled out of the eastern front in April of 1944 and sent back to the west (Belgium) to be rebuilt, the I./SS-Pz.Art.Rgt became the self-propelled Battalion.The 3.batterie became the heavy batterie and was outfitted with Hummels, 1st and 2nd with Wespes.

                              Judging from the EKII and BWB entries on the awards page, it appears your guy was in the II.Bn before the restructure, which could make him a self propelled artillery crew member to either a Wespe or Hummel, depending on the batterie he was assigned to
