    Italian smock?

    Hallo guys

    First of all, I'm sorry about my bad english. I hope you understand what I say or what I mean. Thank you.

    Look a this pictures:









    The stamp inside.



    Also a stamp.



    A botton and made in pressed paper

    So, I buy this smock on a flea market. The seller means it's an italian smock.
    Can anybody help me? Who has infos?

    Really good close up pictures would be required befor you could start to tell if this was period done or not. Even then they are difficult to authenticate. Sounds like you didnt pay much for it if found at a flea market! regards, John.

        Italian M.29 camo cloth used by the Germans (approx late 1943 and 1944)

            I have a late war WSS italian camo parka which shows some fading and wear, and you material look identical. Its correct that all sorts of wraps pants, coveralls ect were made from this material, but were all field made type items from company tailers ect from my knowledge. I have a waffen SS poncho field made item from zelt. A hands on close inspection of the thread and stitching may give some clues to this jackets origin. Looks ok IMO. regards, John.

                  Yes, you can find the same cloth on the camo shelter halves. Your jacket is
                  marked inside 'cromo america' that is a typical marking you can find on the
                  reverse of the Italian camo cloth of the time. Your jacket is just a bit faded
