This button was recently up for auction. I felt that it is an original but the bid price went higher than my max bid. I was also nervous about removing the red paint. Still a good buy if an original. Any opinions on authenticity would help for future reference. Thanks

It wouldnt have been any problem to dip the button in aceton to remove the paint...
