My cozy SS Yule Corner with julleuchter

"Hey honey, I've just joined this great cult!"

It's not julefest but I am in the holiday mood so I put up my own little SS yule corner with my new julleuchter. What do you all think?

The wheel is a millstone used to grind grain. It looks like a good volkisch item for display on the SS altar. May be a folk way to ask for good crops/good harvest in the new year? Sounds good to me...check the SS celebration book. It could also be used as a suitable Christmas tree stand instead of the wooden wheel- may not be regulation, but it'd look good!

Your julleuchter looks to be an odd color. Pics are a bit blurry so I can't see the fine details, but the color is too grey and dark IMO.

Looks like a nice setup and may be a reproduction Julleuchter from the look of it. But its the spirit.

Good point - It IS the spirit that counts. Good info to know, however, as if it IS a reproduction, he could perhaps get his hard-earned money back. Regardless, this lovely display will certainly keep the Grinch away!! And maybe unwanted relatives or in-laws!!

Thanks all for the comments. The Spirit IS indeed strong. The juleuchter IS a repro. Cannot complain - it was about $25 bucks. Cannot afford an original one in this dismal economy. maybe someday. But until then, the light shall burn bright, nonetheless.

Where are the copy sold? They would be nice for the grandchildren's bedrooms.

I'd like to know where to get a repro as well.

When I originally posted these pics, I felt the julleuchter was a repro but I never guessed that it may be an officially sanctioned repro made for SS veterans as has been suggested on other threads. It certainly looks the same as the one Robin Lumsden posted with the HIAG medallion affixed to the top.

I got lucky in finding this one!

Compared to other SS items like belt buckles or uniform parts and their more or less relevant ideological content and background the Julleuchter is still cheap.
