One side of the skull or the other has a whacky cross bone. There are a lot of good photos on the forum of many different bullion originals. The cross bone angles are usually harmonious. Just a thought...

The collar tabs and the sleeve eagle are originals but thats not the issue right now. However if they all came together in a "vet" lot it might give the TK cuff title more credit as well.
Personally I prefer well a executed bullion TK on a cuff title. If you do a search you can find a few originals posted on this forum. The band material of your cuff title is original and thats a good start. However it is quite simple to "slaughter" a Allg SS number cuff title to get the band you want and have a pakistani embroiderer to give it a new skull.

Some collectors have examples of TK cuffs where the skulls are poorly executed and they are happy with them being originals. I think a few of them has provenance. At least according to the story tellers.

Maybe you could enlighten us about this find? When and how, and if there is any provenance?

I like this cuff title, considering it came together with the rest of the items from the vet I would be very pleased to own this group.

                        Cuff Title

Here is a link with a similar cuff title: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=TK+Cuff+Title

This link takes about 30 seconds to open. If you cannot access the link from this post, key in TK Cuff Titles in the Search function and select the Oberbayren Cuff Title thread from the list.

It is not the prettiest skull band I have seen, but it does look original to me.

                              Well

Awfully convenient it is placed with a pair of Rune Tabs and not a hand-embroidered collar tab. I am well aware many SS Officers in TK wore Runes. Of course to wear this early HE Band he would have to have been an old salt. Hmm only an Untersturmfuehrer? Maybe he was initially from the enlisted ranks where he wore this HE band.
