Three Armbands, One Gestapo, and a Black One

I like the black armband. Nice color combination! Can you post a picture of the backside, the inside and close-up of the stiching?

For some reason i think it is Dutch or foreign, but the mourning idea could also be possible. i ran into a great group of armbands, the only questionable item is the Gestapo one.

The Dutch always get blamed ..

O.K. , there definitely were odd armbands here ( N.S.N.A.P. ) , but NOT the black & white one shown !

I have also seen the black armband somewhere. It is picted in either the Mollo foreign SS book or one of the vol. of the foreign vol volumes by bender. I cant remember if the Hungarian or Bulgarian was white swaz on black or black swaz on white.

The black and white one and the yellow one are fakes, the guy who said the CIA seller made them in the 1990's and early 2000's is right he sold them every where. He was as ethical as a reproduction seller can be. He always called them reproductions. He sold them in large lots at auctions and online. I see at least one every show I go too. He mainly did concentration camp stuff and the qualirty was so good I still have a stack of them. just because I knew I could never trust what was being sold and if I wanted to have examples I might as well get them for $2.00 each and know what they were. I recently was contacted by a seller who said she had some pieces out of Poland and they had all this official paperwork and these lead seals with wire attached.
If she did get them from a Polish Museum then they goit them from the seller who went by CIA. But he did have them made in Riga, Latvia.

I have ran into more of these stateside, they are bogus I believe.

I have also recently encounteres an SS FM armband, it looks to be the same producer.

Only problem is finding out the exact use of the armband. Was it just used by Frits? Is it a high official armband? Not a regular armband for the party as they wore other types....

I picked up an armband with a Gestapo stamp on the front http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...utch+ss&page=2, so they certainly used them. Whether this is an original or not can be debated, but the practice of marking the armbands with the Gestapo stamp was certainly done. regards, Robert

The CIA seller also made those lorient u boat trumpet banners & ton of ss trumpet banners they were really well done but fakes none the less. I recently saw a norge banner with norweigien flag on 1 side & runes on the other definitely his work.
