    WSS Uniform

    -Hello everyone

    I have two questions...

    Number one, someone has offered me an WSS uniform and has sent me photos via email. Is there someone with experience in this area to whom I can email the photos and place a monetary value. He basically asked me to make him an offer. I have purchased an Army Flak that has checked out as original.

    Number two, I have payed my 20.00 via paypal to this forum about 2.5 weeks ago and still do not have permission to post photos nor can I reply to estand ads.. What can I do?

    Thanks in advance

    Paul R

    Hi Paul;

    Contact the site owner Sebastian Bianchi and I'm sure he can help you out with your membership issues. You can e-mail me the photos if you'd like and I can post them on here for you. My e-mail is tobias@neo.rr.com.
    Best regards,

    Tony

      Hi Tony, Paul has already emailed the pics to me. If it is OK with him, I will post them on the forum for everyone to see? I have already given him my thoughts on the tunic and pants.
      Cheers, Ade.

        Hi Adrian;

        He had stated in his e-mail to me to go ahead and post them on the forum so by all means, go ahead and put them up as I can't access them at the moment.
        Best regards,

        Tony

                  tunic

                  I will dive in here first Appears to be a model 43 tunic with the straight unpleated pockets and 5 button front. If SS, it would probably be a SS-BW tunic, however, it does not have the interior finish of a SS-BW tunic. The lining appears to finish more like a Heer tunic. There is no back vent on the rear skirt which you would normally see on a SS tunic. The wool texture is different than what I have normally seen on Heer or SS late war tunics, appears to have more of a whipcord finish by the pictures. Probably need better pictures (closeups) of the insignia for others to make determination on those. Also the lining material is different from any artificial silk or rayon that I have seen on originals.
                  Maybe someone else has better news??

                  Also, is there a pair of holes for each belt hook or three ?cannot tell by the way the belt hooks are stuck on the tunic, backwards no less!!

                  The fonts of the inside size markings remind me of Herr Janke??!!
                  I love the beach.

                        Paul,
                        I would leave this well alone, This is not an original ss or HEER m43 tunic, I cannot tell from the photo's if it is a reworked Swedish tunic or a tunic from one of the battle re enacting site's, my guess would be the first option
                        cheers,
                        Gary

                          To me it appears to be of that material so often found coming from Latvia .I do not believe these are original.

                            Yeah that sleeve eagle looks like one I have seen before on a latvian copy.

                              Hi Guys, as I mentioned earlier, I had already given Paul my thoughts on this tunic via PM. I agree with Gary, to me it looks like a converted Swedish example? There are too many details missing for it to be a purpose "made from scratch" re-enactors tunic, ie missing vent in the back, etc.
                              Cheers, Ade.
