Notice just the size stamp, sometimes the Kleiderkasse caps had a clear sweatdiamond with a paper size tab inside, but no trademark logo. This is just one hat I will utilize from my collection, since it has the classic "been there" and it realy was there!, I have others I can utilize to illustrate my point, but this is the one I already had images for, I am not about to embark on a photo session, just to show off my collection.Attached FilesLast edited by DKNYC71; 12-21-2008, 09:58 PM.

Although I still say a large majority of the fakes are maker marked I am sitting down in Florida right as we speak looking at a collection. There are a couple of good maker marked ones in here. In fact one is such a right as rain scream in your face seen action real one no one could discount it because of the mark. I still prefer Kleiderkasse though.

Maybe you prefer Kleiderkasse visors only because they were purchased through Kleiderkasse/SS-distributors? I just really cannot get this "Logo/No-Logo" point. What is the difference? Does it make SS visor "more-SS" if it was purchased through Kleiderkasse?Last edited by bnz. 42; 12-21-2008, 10:41 PM.

Here is a link to an excellent thread on SS visors which is over a year old. Note the Kleirderkasse type of hats posted by Mike Davis, DougO, and others:

I don't understand, you said the first cap posted was junk, but then you post a cap that it also moth eaten , made of italian wool (which used to be a red flag) piping in front above velvet looks loose and uneven (also used to be a red flag) and the sweat band is in far better condition then the rest of the interior.

All the points you made are comical, and perhaps you should look a bit closer on your screen to the images I have posted. I would also study up a bit more on SS headgear before coming out with such ludicrous comments as Italian Wool/Gabardine being a red flag, that is a clear indication your knoweledge of such headgear is very limited. But that is OK, that is one of the reasons behind the existence of forums such as this. Also it helps to look, handle, and study old established collections, and a bit of reading does not hurt either. Good Luck!
I would love to see a close up of the piping, sweatband stitching, and sweatband leather..
