When Sister Inga saw that bandage, she left Herr General spent, in blissful sleep.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Asleep or dead? Good question. I don't think SS men tip-toed around taking pictures of sleeping high ranking officers. It is my opinion that he is dead after committing suicide.

                ............

Stahlecker was killed in a battle with Soviet partisans on 23 March 1942.

Whoever he is (was), this man is dead. Full uniform, buttoned all the way up, glasses on and eyes closed, probably mangled hand bandaged to hide the wound, lying perfectly centered on a pallet on a floor.....gone, IMHO, with photo taken for the family.

That is Stahlecker for sure. Like they said on the forum no other Brigadeführer died at that time and that guy sure is dead. The world became a little bit nicer when that scumbag past away to meet his maker

Stahlecker must have been a shy guy.................he seldom let himself be photographed.

                      I wonder why?
