Hi Folks, well Christmas came early I am very happy to show my latest acquisition a very rare HIRD officer insignia wore by members of the DNL.

Congratulations, Rene. That is a very difficult shield to find. Mine, unfortunately, is cut out and rather frayed. It is a pleasure to see this in perfect condition.

Thanks Bob it is definitely a very hard sleeve insignia to find. I have only seen a few in collections. This one I was told came from a former DNL volunteer that live in Uruguay.<O</O

A mint unused norwegian frontkjemper st.Olavscross indeed.
They where used by ss frontfighters only. They are very rare!
Nice picture, is it a press photo? DNL Finland support badge is also scarse.

Nice St. Olavs shield Rene! That is for sure a rare cloth badge. I know of a couple of uniforms here in Norway that still got it attached.

Here is a picture of a spies in Dnl that have the St. Olavs cross attached to his uniform. Only members of the "Rikshird" where allowed to use this patch.
