My SS/SD ring

Hey guys this ring has been in my family since my Grandmothers brother came back after serving in WW2. It is silver and I've never seen one like it since anywhere including Ebay which I see alot of the usual fakes
Any insight on it, it's an awesome ring that I do wear but was thinking of having it redone in gold. There are no makers mark on it .

Joe, That SS/SD skull ring is a very old fantasy piece..[there is even an enlisted mans version]...
No ring was produced like that during the 3rd reich period......

Thanks I never was quite sure since I've never seen one like it before out on the market either in catalogs or on the internet.
I've had it since I was a kid around 10 or 11 and I'm 45 so its been with me that long and it was in the footlocker of my Grandmothers Brother who served in WW2. He remained stationed in Germany up till around 49 so it might have been made then.
