Hi gents, here is a ground dug item wich was found on the place of SS-T division . Could someone please answere what is it and where this one was used ? this sign is about 6 sm in height .

To me, it looks like an original SS vehicle pennant finial...

Intriguing, and great shape for ground dug.
I think we must assume then that it is perhaps an aluminum/brass alloy or sorts, since there is practically no corrosion.
Can't help on the ID, sure looks like it was meant to thread onto some vehicle borne mounting.

Guys, don't worry about condition , it's not so good as it could be in case of ground find !
This item was found by the friend of mine and i have no 0000,000001 % doubts about authenticy ...The soil is dry sand .
For all who want to know more about possible relic condition please find the thread in the helmet section - " Your feeling about ground dug helmets "
I'd like to know where this one was used - on the car ? has someone period pix with similar item using on the car ? This is a very small piece and sizes are below /

Its not impossible fox-terier, depending on composition of the metal and soil conditions some metal items can be very intact.
I have found 100+ year old copper and silver coins in great condition, silver comes out like it was just lost yesterday.
Obviously, this is not silver, but aluminum and brass hold up well too in the ground.

The base looks brass, the SS part looks like it was grafted on and composed of a different metal.

Yes, you're right ,this item consists of two different metal parts .
