WOW! I think this proves without a doubt that tropical bevo eagles were period used on the m44 dot tunics...can we see a close up of the front & reverse of the eagle application? Congrats!

I did a hands on inspection of it last July.
It looks 20 times better in person!
        I believe it was issued.
Can you show the worn tag written by the GI?

We are looking at a jacket that first found fame in Beavers book , and for me is a benchmark piece .
With the whole capture story as well ,simply put ,fantastic piece of camouflage history .
well done on getting this top jacket ,i am sure Christmas came in November for you .

                          Mike,

Thanks very much for the pocket flaps close-ups and the original note shot. The HBT pocket flaps are a nice touch, unintended by the manufacturer of course. Normally I don't pay much attention to cammo items, but this one definitely peaked my interest. Very, very nice...thanks for taking the time and effort to share it. Nice close-ups you can't see in the book.

                          Richard

If I remember correctly this tunic surfaced in 1986 at the Greenbelt Armory Show. I remember the tag from the vet so well. I think Bill Shea ended up with it by the end of the show. Thanks Van Wouw

The cotton camo tunics are the most beautiful, with such vibrant colors. I have always wanted one, but never found one.

Possible and for sure the best one out there. A wonderful piece of a German Camo Uniform.
