SS Panzer collar tabs

Hello,
I bought these tabs recently and I need expert opinions if at all possible. I sent them to a dealer for inspection. They found the glue on the back was not from animal bi-product by the water test. They also thought the tabs were aged by making them look dirty. We cannot find any thread holes to determine that they were on a wrapper before, although holes can close. Also the pip and rank stripe look to be clean while the rest is dirty... They look like they were made correctly and from period materials though... Can Anyone please help?

Are you referring to the glue that holds the black wool down on the back, or is there glue we can't see behind the piping?

It also appears that these have very fine dirt in every weave hole in the piping on the front. That usually indicates vacuum cleaner dust debris which is very fine. They do look excessively and unnaturally dirty.

It does not appear to be original rayon piping to me. The pip is OK, and they don't always show age. Are you sure the base tabs and litzen stripe are good?

Hope this is a start for someone else to build on.

I dont like the piping.
It is not the correct woolen type nor the correct rayon type.
I had the exact same piping on a set of bogus army panzer tabs.

After another look I agree with Keifer Kahn that it is that bogus type piping that showed up on SS bevo rank tabs with 3 pips added, and on fake Heer panzer tabs. So you have an original set of EM SS tabs that have had fake piping added and then fake aging applied via dirt bomb. I would return them ASAP, unless they were cheap, which I doubt.
