SS Officer's medical board - Opinions?

I'd like to get opinions on this shoulderboard's authenticity. All scans are of the same board.

    Thanks!

can you show the sides in the light better. I want to see how the blue is stitched under the silver bullion. I wouldnt think these were necessarily just ss , couldnt almost all the army units use them if the rank was warranting the equal rank. I take it is there only the one board. Ill bet you could find a mate for it on this forum.

Here's a shot of the side where the piping goes under the bullion.

Well... id say blue on black IS ss medical, and they remind me of the brown on black ones i posted as concentration camp boards. Its in fairly good shape, ..have you asked anyone if they have a single to make a pair yet? I would assume it would be a good bet to ask these fellows , as they just may have one , or find you one in the future.(sometimes these things take time) I have no idea what one is worth alone, but Ill do it for you......Does anyone have a single that matches this board they can offer this gentleman out there on the forum??? Remember fellows , when you do good deeds it sews the seeds for good things to come back to you. Even when you sell something too cheap, it opens that door for returns many times over. I have all different boards, but none with the black with blue on top. Id say you are correct, but now that i have given an opinion, lets see what the rest have to say, as i am not an expert on boards, but thats what the books say, but I truly feel you are most likely correct, thats just MY opinion.Showing clear shots of anything here especially all elevations will always get you more response every time. After all we all love to gawk. Thanks for the other shot. Anyone else have any opinions?

Well...I don't care for the board at all. I don't like the black base material which should be wool but does not appear right. The wool does not extend out far enough to be a sew in type, which I believe it is supposed to be.

The color piping material does not appear to be wool or rayon or felted wool, and it should be one of them. it is also not straight when viewed from below and bulges out, another bad sign. It looks a lot like the piping material they use for fake panzer tabs.

The upper litzen type silver ornamentation looks odd, but it may be the scan. It is a dress type if anything, but it has an odd sheen to it, but might be O.K. in natural light or flash.

I'm not a fan but will sure entertain other opinions.

                Richard
