    SS Cloth Eagle-Advice please

Opinions on this Eagle will be much appreciated. I would like to know if it is original, if it is then where was it made and was it worn by enlisted men or officers? Could it have been worn in France? Many thanks, Clive.

As Francesco said its an original eagle and mainly for the M43 cap. In this version it was initially intended for enlisted soldiers and NCO's. However due to shortage and other reasons these rayon versions "non metal flat wire" insignias can also be found on officers head gear. Hence, it is impossible to know for sure what rank this eagle was taken from, but most likely from an enlisted cap.
It has a good chance to have been in taken from a SS soldier on the western front and maybe even in France.
