Is the right collar tab (SS) locally produced?

Isnt that a Heer tunic, with SS insignia ? hence the 3 holes instead of 2 ?... what do you guys think about it ?

Waffen SS used both 3 and 2 holes. The ss producted 2 holes. Lots of pics documenting this.

Exactly, till the M42 model as manifacture.
I think this is an original WH tunic with fake WSS insignia applied, the cufftitle print on the sleeve is made post war.
                    Just my honest opinion, sorry.

                      Luca,

What do you mean with the insigna... Is it post war applied or just fake?

                        .

I am of the opinion that this is a made up peice, for whatever reason it was made up. I can see the less shaded portion from removal of Heer insignia on the collar and then well worn parts everywhere else. I know m36 tunics were used and reappeared throughout but unless you have got rockhard provenance I would save my money. The insignia i cannot comment on myself but i dont like what I see based on my experience. if it should turn to be bad insignia then that should seal it for me. The enemy reads this forum, watches the websites and dealers and knows what people desire. Theyre fully aware that people drool over an m36 tunic, esp an SS one as 99% of them have been destroyed and not many survived. Thus they will age it and add wear it like you see here, sometimes even invest in real insignia, thread and a good tailor and even some dealers are doing that i know of one real SS M41 tunic being sold now as an untouched original. The fake stuff doesnt hurt them to put together like buying an original, how you can tell its low level work that has done some research. Alot of the points on this tunic are made to attract a new buyer who will quickly look at a cufftitle shaded area or eagle wear on the sleeve.Same thing with leather items too sometimes. Its very easy to make this tunic from a new one. This forum is worth every penny because these people dont care about who they take from and the effect.

                        Regards,

                        Pete

I agree with Luca... the insignia is reproduction, which automatically means it has been applied post-war.
