The eagle is an original Assmann, but the skull is one for which you will get different answers. Some claim it to be a late-war Assmann, while others argue that no side-pronged skulls are original.

It is interesting that all the early fake SS hats from the 60's had these insignia - real 3-prong eagle and three side-prong skull. Maybe indeed these skulls were the last produced but never much used and thus found in quantities along with the late eagles for use on the fakes...Tom

Such is certainly the argument of many believers, among them some very experienced and well respected collectors. Still, others with equal experience condemn them as fake.
