      Pink piping question...

I was told recently that there were differences in the pink piping with respect to shoulderboards/straps and that not all pink-tones were necessarily considered "tank". Can anyone shed some light here?

If I am not mistaking, there is a lighter and a stronger pink colour in pipings, right?

I am looking for a nice EM or Uscha board to go with my LAH cypher slip-on(s) and would not like to make any mistake in my efforts to purchase a correct Panzer-board...

        Hi Markus,

To my understanding there are no gradations for pink waffenfarbe colours - such as you find with green or yellow waffenfarbe for example (e.g. golden yellow for cavalry and lemon yellow for signals). However you do find multiple users of certain waffenfarbes (eg orange for police and recruiting; red for artillery, FLAK and assault gun; etc). For the pink waffenfarbe, you can either have panzer or PAK. Very hard to tell which is which - very roughly if you have pink boards and a black wrapper, it is likely panzer. If it is a field grey wrapper, likely PAK - but there are numerous exceptions!

          interesting......

Yes, it is a repro until a good one show up. The same with the M43 cap and side eagle [not show in the picture]. had been looking for a good original one but we all know these aren't easy to come by unfortunately.

The tunic is from Bill Shea, he got it from Mike beaver. Also the dot pattern trouser are from Bill.

            thanks Roberto !!

It is a nice piece - I doubt I could ask for a better SS Panzer wrap for my collection.

Many thanks for your help Mike.
BenderĀ“s book on the LAH e.g. speak about a "Light Pink" (Hellrosa) for Transport troops towards the war's end.

What is this "Light Pink" like ??

Does anyone have examples of both pinks in order to see the differences?

              Thanks!
              Markus
