    SS bevo TK?

    Hello,

I've this Bevo TK. This one was in a small lot of original SS stuff. But could this be an original? I can't find much info about this silver TK's.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Jim

    Hi,

You have flatwire insignia of both the headgear TK and eagle as well as the arm eagle. They would have been made with silver tread and found on officers headgear and uniforms (exceptions exist of course).

However, I do not belive this is one of them. Yours has wrong material and design.

          I agree, not original.
One big red flad is the Ges gesch.

It is surprising how many of the 70's and 80's fakes are so much better than today's fakes. This one is well known to those of us who have studied this stuff for a long time, but, considering the design and material are much closer to the originals than anything which has been produced since, it won't be long before newer collectors are arguing that this TK has merits and should be considered as a possible original. I await the day that someone asks me if I can "prove" this one is a fake.

Nah Brad, look at those lovely thick gums, this happy chappy shouldn't really be fooling anyone, even when cut and folded to hide the Ges Gesch.

Still someone's bound to believe it though !

Might that someone's name start with "D" and rhyme with "can?"
